In the lead-up to FOSS4G SotM Oceania 2024, QGIS Australia hosted an event on Monday 4th November in Hobart to bring together QGIS users from across Australia.

Recently I wanted to try the mixed format labeling capability that North Road developed in 2022 for QGIS 3.28.
QGIS Grant Voting 2024
Following the QGIS call for grant proposals, voting occurred last week and only 6 could be selected. After feedback from the community, QGIS AU voted for the following QGIS Enhancement Proposals to receive grants. We look forward to seeing the results soon.
Australian QGIS user group meetup 2017
This was our first big event! We had around 60 people come to the University of Sydney for a fun day of QGIS talks and socialising.
Inaugural QGIS Australia Hackfest 2017
The first QGIS Australia Hackfest Developer Meeting was held in Noosa in 2017, attended by Nyall Dawson, Nathan Woodrow and Martin Dobias. You can read all about it on Nyall’s write up here.
